Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King-116900 While the original Air-King has never been the most popular model from Rolex, the modern Air-King is not the boring 34mm watch anymore, it’s now a modern timepiece that looks very up-to-date with the design ideals of today.  Like all Rolex watches, the Air-King has a long and interesting history, as it originally came about as a tool watch, meant to help the wearer.  If you are looking to get into Rolex watches, this is a great start and a great entry price-point.

Rolex Yacht-Master-116622 Most, if not everyone that has or had the Rolex Yacht-Master describe it as the most comfortable watch on the wrist.  Its a relatively thin watch, so the case tends to hug your wrist amazingly well and the oyster bracelet just sits perfectly, making you not want to take it off your wrist!  If that was not enough the combination of the steel and platinum bezel (Roleisum) with the blue sunburst dial and red accents, gives it a unique aesthetic that makes it different from anything else that Rolex has.  The dial warrants a second mention, the pictures do not do it justice, you really need to see it in person to appreciate how nice it is!    If you are looking to add to your collection or if its your first Rolex, this will definitely be your favorite!

Rolex Milgauss -116400GV The Rolex Milgauss has a unique history that makes it standout from all the other Rolex watches.  It was developed as a tool watch for scientists in the 1950s who needed a watch that could stand up to magnetic fields.   It became something of a forgotten watch, and certainly not one anybody thought would be plucked from obscurity.  But then in 2007, it happened!  Rolex unveiled 3 variations, but it’s really this one with the green crystal that had everyone talking!  The lightning bolt hands that is painted orange, the colour contrasts on the dial and the colored crystal makes the Milgauss a truly unique timepiece!

Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars Equation of Time -26003 The Jules Audemars “Equation of Time” (EOT) was introduced in 2000 and features some of the most fascinating and desired complications in the watch world today.  Not only does the Jules Audemars Equation of Time show the EOT indication, it also shows the correct time for sunrise and sunset (for the desired city, in this case Hong Kong), a rarity among rarities, and is a perpetual calendar and a super-accurate moon phase watch as well, with a lunar indication accurate to within one day in approximately 122 years.  An EOT complication indicates the difference between "true" solar time (that of nature) and "mean" solar time (that of man). As the earth orbits around the sun in an elliptical path with a tilted axis, there are only 4 days a year when the day is exactly 24 hours long.

Cartier Pasha Perpetual Calendar-2000 Designed by Gerald Genta, the Cartier Pasha made its debut in 1985 and became an instant sensation! This particular example is a very rare yellow-gold, semi-skeIetonised tourbillion perpetual calendar watch.  In the 1990’s, when Cartier decided to launch a limited edition of ultra-complicated wristwatches, the company contracted Gerard Genta to design and execute it. Officine Panerai Luminor Due-PAM 00927 Panerai inaugurated a new chapter in its history with the Luminor Due, originally introduced in 2016. This watch is still a Panerai all over, with it's cushion shaped case, the half circle crownguard with built in lever, it's lug shapes, there's not much of a change from a design perspective. Its a contemporary reinterpretation of that classic model from the ’50s. However, the new version has a slimmer case and a modern in-house movement. The slimmer case with the 42mm dial works really well and is fit for all occasions! The blue sunburst dial is a stunner too, it gives the watch a more classier appeal and makes it dressier then the rest of the model.

Zenith El Primero Revival A3818 'Cover Girl'-03.A3818.400/51.M3818 In 2020 watch publication Revolution partnered with Zenith on a revival of one of the Swiss brand’s most collectible chronographs, the El Primero Ref. A3818. Known to collectors as the “Cover Girl,” this isn’t any ordinary El Primero. Nicknamed for its appearance on the cover of Manfred Rössler’s authoritative book on all things vintage Zenith, the Cover Girl is defined by its angular case, dynamic blue dial, and completely unique ladder bracelet. While its looks might not be mainstream, with only 100 examples being made in this limited run, this is definitely one for the enthusiasts and Zenith collectors who have long admired the brand’s 70s output.

Journe, we rarely hear about the Linesport, the model is overlooked by many, which is probably the hallmarks of a future collectible timepiece! Just with production alone, we know that Journe’s annual production of watches is under 1,000 pieces per year and the LineSport makes up a small percentage of that, so if you want something that is rare and exclusive, it doesn’t get much better then this. Even at the time of writing this, there were no instances of this particular model on chrono24! This is a full-on purposefully built sports watch that works on a racing suit as well as a business suit. The vibrant yellow dial makes it pop and is sure to turn heads!

It may not be an MB&F per se, but it certainly follows the same sort of ideology and was designed and promoted by the man who founded MB&F. There were initially two ways of getting your hands on one; writing into MB&F, or through a raffle that was launched, either way, only a fraction of those applicants were given the option to pull the trigger on one, so here’s your chance now to own one! What makes this piece even more cool is that the time is displayed in the side profile of the case, specifically between the lower two lugs. Overall the M.A.D.1 Red is great fun and yet unique and usable watch at a very attractive price point.

Timex Q Hodinkee-TW2U88000ZV Timex recently reissued an iconic watch from their 1970s back catalog, the “Q”. Their popularity was so high and the hype so powerful that supplies quickly depleted and Qs were being swept from the secondary market! Following on the back of that wildly successful reissue, Timex launched a limited edition collab with Hodinkee. Hodinkee added a sense of style to this collaboration, making it a great success! What you got was an aesthetically pleasing daily watch that fits perfectly on most wrists. Hokinkee chose to remove almost all colour from the watch, including the Pepsi bezel that made the original Q so beloved. They even went with slightly off-white lume markers on a white dial to achieve an even cleaner aesthetic. Overall, a great looking watch with some bold design moves that really did pay off.

Girard Perregaux World-Wide Time Control -49850-53-251-BA6D While the Laureato is the shining star for Girard Perregaux, there are plenty of other worthy offerings in their catalogue and the WW.TC is certainly one of them. Ever since Girard-Perregaux introduced the WW.TC, World Wide Time Control, it has been a very successful model with a distinct design. It always featured a second crown, placed on the left side of the case, that served to rotate the worldtimer’s city disk. This particular reference was introduced in 2009 and had received a major overhaul, dropping the Power reserve to only feature a small seconds dial at 6. So if you are looking for a truly complicated watch for the price of a steel sports model, then this should be on your radar!

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface-Q3978430 The first Tribute watches came out in 2011 and is probably one of the most attractive of modern Reverso watches, with their colored dials, bar indexes and small seconds at 6 o’clock.  In 2021, JLC launched their latest model, with the deep green dial.  Of all the colors, the green dial seems to be the people’s favorite, its a radiant, deep forest green, not a bright green and in the light, it turns into a darker side of green.  So if you are looking for a classy rectangular watch that you can easily dress up or down, then it doesn’t get much better than this option.

Franck Muller Double Sided Rattrapante Chronograph '30th Anniversary' -FM-7000-CCRCDF This holy grail of the 1990s, was resurrected for the 30th Anniversary. It has the rarest, most original, and visually stunning chronograph dial on both sides of the watch. The 39mm has a front dial featuring a beautiful guilloche black concentric wave pattern combined with double split tachymeter scale chronograph and recessed subdials. The trump card is at the back of the watch that features a pulsometer, telemeter and tachymeter chronograph which is a joy to watch. The best thing though is the movement, the FM 7000-CCRDF is new old stock from Franck Muller’s own archives of 1990s, a fitting tribute to this legendary and groundbreaking chronograph. This watch is limited to 30 pieces with a special number!

Breitling Chronomat B01 -AB0134101K1A1 It’s suffice to say Breitling has a hit on their hands with the Chronomat B01 launched in 2020, it is a watch that most will love because of its versatility.  The watch was made to be a daily wearer, a watch that you can wear formally whilst also fitting in perfectly at outdoor activities and the beach.  From the collection released, the stainless steel model with the copper dial stands out the most, its a stunner!  The copper, sunray-brushed dial layout is easy on the eye and works very well with the black-subdials.  Overall, a great a watch and its easy to understand why this model has had a ignificant place in the brand’s history ever since its release.

IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Rudolf Caracciola -IW380702 Launched in 2017 as part of the brand’s revamped Ingenieur line, it has an elegant and retro look about it and will please those who are a fan of vintage-inspired new watches.  This Inegenieur included a new in-house chronograph movement for IWC and as we all know by now, the design is down to Gérald Genta, whose other brainchildren include Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak and Patek Philippe’s Nautilus.  This particular watch pays tribute to Rudolf Caracciola, who was one of the top racing drivers of his time and is limited to 750 pieces.
